The Megalodon Tooth dates back over 12 million years, from a time when this giant shark roamed the Miocene oceans. Its tooth has been displayed in a museum quality deep box frame and complete with a scientifically accurate, hand-drawn illustration.
Thick, serrated, and well-preserved, this tooth belonged to a shark estimated to exceed 15 metres in length. Its structure reflects a design built for force, capable of shearing through bone and dense flesh. Over time, the enamel of the tooth mineralised, capturing fine details of its form.
Recovered from a coastal sediment bed, the tooth has been carefully cleaned and stabilised, a direct remnant of the ancient ocean ecosystem.
