The Campo del Cielo Fragment has been displayed in a museum quality deep box frame. It was formed over 4.5 billion years ago and discovered in the Gran Chaco region of Argentina.
This extraterrestrial relic fell to Earth around 4,000–5,000 years ago, breaking apart in the atmosphere and scattering across the plains. Composed primarily of iron and nickel, its crystallised structure reveals the ancient geometry of the solar system’s earliest metals.
Each fragment is collected from the official strewn field, then cleaned and conserved to reveal its natural metallic luster, a tangible link to the formation of planets, stars, and the very origins of matter itself.
