This fossilised tooth belonged to Carcharodontosaurus and has been displayed in a museum quality deep box frame, complete with a scientifically accurate, hand-drawn illustration. The creature is one of the largest known predatory dinosaurs dating to the mid-Cretaceous period, approximately 95 million years ago.
Thick, curved, and finely serrated, the tooth was adapted for slicing through muscle and bone, a trait it shares with its namesake, the great white shark (Carcharodon). Its robust structure suggests it came from a powerful jaw capable of delivering devastating bites.
Unearthed from the Kem Kem beds of North Africa, the specimen has been carefully cleaned and stabilised, preserving the physical imprint of a top predator in one of Earth’s most formidable prehistoric ecosystems.
