This chondrite meteorite has been displayed in a museum quality glass dome bell jar, and is one of the most common types of stony meteorites, dating back approximately 4.5 billion years.
Composed mainly of silicate minerals and tiny spherical chondrules, the fragment retains its natural fusion crust, a dark, glassy outer layer formed as it passed through Earth’s atmosphere. Its rough surface shows signs of weathering and small impact marks from its journey to the ground.
Recovered from a documented fall site, the specimen offers an authentic example of primordial solar system material, largely unchanged since its formation.
