The Dilophosaurus is one of the most distinctive and recognisable dinosaurs of the Early Jurassic — instantly identifiable by its pair of thin, parallel bony crests running along the top of its skull. Roaming the floodplains and river systems of what is now North America approximately 193 million years ago, it was among the largest predators of its time, reaching up to 6 metres in length and weighing an estimated 400kg. Its long, narrow skull measured around 60cm in adults — lightweight and fenestrated, built for speed and agility rather than brute force.

This 1:3 scale skull replica captures every anatomical detail with scientific accuracy — from the iconic twin crests and elongated snout to the distinctive fenestrae and serrated dentition. Each piece is made to order and handcrafted in England, individually hand-painted in our studio to recreate the authentic patina of fossilised bone. Subtle variations in tone and texture are an intentional part of the finishing process — no two are identical.
