This fossilised vertebra belonged to a Mosasaur, a dominant marine reptile from the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 to 90 million years ago, presented in a glass dome bell jar.

Part of the creature’s powerful spine, the vertebra reflects the strength and streamlined build of an apex predator adapted for life in warm, shallow seas. Its surface shows fine preservation, with natural texture and mineralisation from millions of years in sediment.

Recovered from phosphate deposits in North Africa, the specimen has been expertly cleaned and stabilised, offering a direct link to the age of marine reptiles.

Base: Solid oak wood
Mount: Stainless Steel
Dome: Handblown 2mm glass
Dimensions: 120x160mm
