This Pallasite Meteorite has been displayed in a museum quality deep box frame. This specimen is a rare stony-iron meteorite dating back approximately 4.5 billion years.
Composed of nickel-iron metal embedded with transparent olivine crystals, this meteorite represents the boundary between the core and mantle of a differentiated asteroid. The olivine inclusions, often referred to as peridot when gem-quality, are naturally encased within the metallic matrix, creating a unique and striking texture.
Recovered from a recognised fall site, the specimen preserves the complex interplay of metal and mineral that formed deep within an ancient planetary body.
Frame: Satin finished acrylic
Mount: 300 GSM acid free card stock & 2 mm bevelled edge matboard border
