This Pterosaur tooth has been displayed in a museum quality deep box frame. The creature was one of the earliest vertebrates to achieve powered flight, and dates to the Late Jurassic period, around 175 million years ago.
Long and needle-like, the tooth was adapted for grasping fish and other small prey mid-flight or at the water’s surface. Its fine striations and tapering form suggest it came from a coastal species, likely foraging along ancient shorelines and lagoons.
Discovered in sedimentary deposits of North Africa, the specimen has been carefully cleaned and conserved, offering a rare glimpse into the feeding anatomy of Earth’s prehistoric flyers. Complete with a scientifically accurate, hand-drawn illustration.
