This fossilised bone belonged to the woolly mammoth, which roamed the northern plains of Europe, Asia, and North America during the Late Pleistocene, around 20,000 to 40,000 years ago. Displayed in a museum quality glass dome bell jar.

Dense and heavy, the bone shows signs of natural mineralisation and weathering from thousands of years in frozen or sediment-rich ground. Its robust form reflects the massive scale of an animal adapted to survive in Ice Age environments.

Recovered from permafrost or riverbank deposits, the specimen has been cleaned and stabilised, preserving a physical link to one of the most iconic species of the last Ice Age.

Base: Solid Oak Wood
Mount: Stainless Steel
Dome: Handblown 2mm tempered glass
Dimensions: 100x150mm
